I don't think the isles are going to sign Brunner because they signed PMB to play on the top line with JT. Also, if PMB doesn't play on the first line, Strome may be there.

Where will Brunner play if he signs with the Islanders? PMB, Moulson, Grabner, Clutterbuck, Okposo all have spots on the wing spoken for.

YAy no Kovy blog! The isles would make a lot of sense. Have cap room and could always use another scorer. But I feel they may wanna reserve some cap space and try to add another Dman or goalie. Those needs are more pressing imo for them to continue the positive path to becoming a contender they are on.

Actually thinking it over of the three teams you listed the Devils probably make the most sense. Doubt it happens though.

Woud love to have seen Brunner with Tavares and Moulson, not sure if he fits anymore with the signing of PMB

Brock Nelson MAY play in place of Regin on the 3rd line.
Strome MAY play in place of Bouchard.

I think both Nelson & Strome stay in the AHL for 1 more year, build a winning team in Bridgeport so the tradition of winning carries onto Long Island.

Only way Brunner to Islanders makes sense is if they are going to move one of the forwards you mentioned for a defenseman or goalie.

I'm not sure I like the idea of adding Brunner. There is only one spot open on the 3rd line LW or RW spot since Zubrus can play both. Leaves no chance for someone to play their way onto the roster. Honestly we also don't need a 2nd/3rd line tweener. We need a top line quality player that would have to come through trade.

No way we get Brunner, we just got rid of Nino & Streit.

I also don't think anyone is getting move - our top-6 are all signed to reasonable contacts, mostly long-term as well.

What a perfect example of agent overvaluing the player based on limited track record.

3.5 Million over 4 years he wants,
should have signed whatever Wings offered and build up the resume in the NHL
for another year or 2.
Now the only options are the bottom dwellers with cap space.
